Founded in 2011, Enactus Ramjas has emerged as a notable society within Delhi University, driven by a profound mission to address societal and environmental issues through entrepreneurial action. Over the years, this esteemed society has undertaken impactful initiatives that have not only challenged critical climate issues but have also uplifted underprivileged communities that often go unnoticed.

Five Impactful Initiatives

Presently, Enactus Ramjas operates five projects that tackle a range of critical issues:

1. Women’s Empowerment: Enactus Ramjas is committed to empowering women, helping them achieve financial independence and self-sufficiency.
2. Financial Independence: Through their initiatives, they aim to promote financial literacy and independence, particularly among marginalized communities.
3. Waste Management: Addressing the pressing issue of waste management, the society is actively involved in sustainable waste management practices.
4. Water Pollution: Enactus Ramjas is dedicated to combating water pollution, implementing innovative solutions to ensure access to clean water.
5. Rising Issues: The society also remains adaptable, addressing emerging societal and environmental challenges as they arise.

Community Development Endeavors

In addition to these projects, Enactus Ramjas engages in a variety of community development endeavors designed to enhance societal well-being. These efforts include:

• Education Campaigns: They successfully executed a 2.5-month-long education campaign in Timarpur, contributing to increased awareness and access to education.
• Health and Menstrual Hygiene Awareness: Enactus Ramjas has actively raised awareness about health and menstrual hygiene, addressing critical yet often neglected subjects.
• Nukkad Nataks and Cleanliness Drives: They use innovative methods like street plays (nukkad nataks) and cleanliness drives to educate and empower the younger generation towards sustainable waste management.

Vinayak, the Organizational Development Director of Enactus Ramjas, emphasized, “Ultimately, our goal is to create a culture of sustainability and social responsibility that benefits both the environment and the community in the long run.”

Recognition and Awards

Enactus Ramjas received high praise during the ‘Enactus National Exposition 2023,’ where they showcased the impressive outcomes of their social projects. Their two pivotal projects, Project Swabun and Project Inaayat, garnered significant attention and secured a spot among the National Exposition semi-finalists.

The organization’s commitment to sustainability was recognized with the prestigious “Promising Sustainability” award. Additionally, Mr. Kabir Sikri, the organization’s former president, received the esteemed “Best Alumni” award, highlighting his unwavering dedication to the cause and serving as a source of inspiration for many.
