Setting up a studio-grade light usually means a heavy fixture, a fixed colour tone and a walk back to the unit every time the look needs tweaking. Hiffin, which sells imaging and photography accessories, is pitching its new i Light 150W as an answer to that. The LED light, launched in New Delhi on October 8, is aimed at photographers, videographers, content creators and studio users, and can be controlled from a phone through a compatible app, so settings can be changed without reaching the light each time.

As per the company, the light’s colour temperature runs from 2700K to 6500K, letting users move from a warm, softer tone to cooler daylight-style light depending on the shoot. It carries a CRI rating of 95+, which Hiffin says helps reproduce colours accurately, a factor that matters in product photography and video where natural-looking colour is important. Brightness can be adjusted from 10 to 100 per cent, and the 120-degree light angle is meant to give wider illumination. The company lists an illuminance of 13,500 but does not give the unit or the measurement distance. It also describes the light as compact and lightweight, so it can be carried between setups.

For creative effects, the i Light offers nine dynamic FX modes. What makes it studio-ready, according to Hiffin, is the universal Bowens mount, which accepts a wide range of compatible modifiers such as softboxes. The company says the light suits model shoots, product photography, wedding shoots, home studios and video recording. “The i Light has been developed for creators who need a powerful light but also want easy control over their setup. The combination of 150W power, adjustable colour temperature, app connectivity and different FX modes gives users flexibility across photography, video and other shooting requirements,” said Vineet Sehgal, CEO, Hiffin.

The box includes one i Light unit, a power cable, a protective cover and a user manual. The i Light 150W LED Studio Light is priced at Rs 8,499 and is currently on sale at Rs 5,149 through the official Hiffin brand store. The company says it offers dispatch within 24 hours, free delivery and a two-day replacement facility. Hiffin, which says more than 10 lakh customers have bought from it, has recently also added the MS24 Dual Monitor Arm, the MS12 Monitor Arm, and the H22 and H25 selfie stick tripods to its range.
