Synopsys has joined the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) Dx-EDGE programme as a Technology Solution Provider, with the aim of giving India’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and technical institutions access to advanced engineering simulation tools. The collaboration was announced in New Delhi on October 6.
Dx-EDGE, short for Digital Excellence for Growth and Enterprise, is a national programme led by CII with support from the NITI Frontier Tech Hub and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It brings together MSMEs, academia, technology providers and government stakeholders to speed up digital adoption.
Synopsys will offer its Ansys portfolio of simulation and computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools through expert-led knowledge sessions, hands-on demonstrations, training programmes and technology showcases, both virtual and in person. It will also list its Ansys products, solutions and services on the Dx-EDGE platform, along with training modules. It will work with MSMEs and institutions through the programme’s network of Digital Transformation Facilitation Centres, where faculty and students work directly with MSMEs on digital transformation.
Under Dx-EDGE, MSMEs can take a Digital Maturity Diagnostic to identify their existing capabilities, gaps and opportunities, followed by a customised Digital Strategy Roadmap for phased adoption of suitable technologies.
“MSMEs are an important engine of India’s industrial growth,” said Murali Pullela, Country Head (Simulation & Analysis), Synopsys, who added that the engagement would give MSMEs greater access to engineering simulation through demonstrations, knowledge-sharing and hands-on training.
Ponnuswami M, Chairman of Dx-EDGE at CII, said, “Dx-EDGE can bridge the technology adoption gap by connecting MSMEs with the right expertise, solutions and ecosystem partners.”
