PRAMA has launched iDADA, a sub-brand for smart home security products, with a 3MP Wi-Fi pan-and-tilt camera called the Q2i as its first product. The company is aiming the range at homes, offices, retail spaces and small office/home office setups.
PRAMA describes itself as India’s premier indigenous video security brand. It says the iDADA portfolio will include indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi cameras with AI-based monitoring and remote access, designed for easy installation.
The Q2i is the flagship. The company lists these features:
- 3MP “Super HD” resolution
- 350° rotation to cut blind spots
- AI human auto-tracking, where the camera detects a person, locks on and rotates to follow
- Motion and noise detection
- Infrared night vision in black and white
- Two-way talk through a built-in microphone and speaker
- A lens shutter in “sleep mode” for privacy
- Local storage of up to 512 GB
Users manage the cameras through the iDADA PRO app, which is available on Google Play and the App Store. The cameras are being rolled out nationwide through authorised retail networks and system integrators, PRAMA says.
An unnamed iDADA spokesperson said the launch “marks a pivotal evolution in our indigenous technology roadmap.” The spokesperson said the company expects AI and cellular IoT in everyday devices to move from a luxury to “an absolute baseline requirement” for smart spaces, and that iDADA is “intentionally positioning its manufacturing infrastructure near Mumbai” to scale production. The company says its R&D will focus on secure cloud-hybrid systems and plug-and-play AI-sense architectures.
The announcement does not give a price, a launch date or model numbers for other cameras in the range. It does not say how the Q2i connects beyond Wi-Fi, so the cellular IoT remark appears to be about the company’s wider plans, not this camera. Features and the “indigenous” claim are the company’s own.
