Great Lakes Institute of Management, a business school promoting experiential learning, announced a significant restructuring of its Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) curriculum. As per the claims in the announcement, the newly revamped PGPM curriculum reflects Great Lakes’ dedication to creating business-ready professionals who are both result-oriented and responsible. The curriculum is oriented towards industry concentrations and job roles rather than the conventional approach of functional majors such as Finance or Marketing. The curriculum has been enriched to include a series of labs that are meant to enhance both broad brush soft and hard skills as well as provide deep dives into concentrations chosen as majors. Courses are designed with to experiential learning interventions, such as live projects, real-life scenario analysis, and simulations. These hands-on experiences ensure that students can seamlessly transition from academic environments to real-world business settings.
Introducing ‘Fluid Intellect’
A new educational approach, ‘Fluid Intellect,’ has been launched to equip students with the industry-relevant skills necessary to thrive in the modern business world. ‘Fluid Intellect’ recognizes that learning moments can be created both in and out of the classroom and that different individuals may have very different learning trajectories. This innovative learning approach is designed to blend conceptual frameworks, hard and soft skills, and overall personality development. ‘Fluid Intellect’ involves a location and curriculum agnostic format with holistic and customised learning pathways, specifically curated to meet the evolving talent demands of global trade and commerce.
